Absolutely. Pre-purchase inspections are some of our most-requested work. Knowing what you are buying, and what it will cost to restore, is worth far more than $1,000.

What if I do not proceed with treatment after the inspection?

STEP 01

Moisture Mapping

Pin and pinless moisture meters used at every elevation. Internal log moisture documented at problem areas. Moisture trapped behind failing finishes identified. These pockets cause rot before any visible sign appears on the surface.

STEP 02

Rot & Density Probing

Deep-scan probes test internal wood strength. Hidden soft spots, internal moisture pockets, and sub-surface fungal decay located without invasive cutting. You know what is inside your walls before we touch them.

STEP 03

Infrared Thermography

Thermal imaging identifies heat loss zones, wet logs, air leaks, and cold areas with trapped moisture. Pest nesting sites flagged by temperature differential. Problems invisible to the eye appear in the thermal record.

STEP 04

Surface & Seam Analysis

UV light analysis of stain condition and topcoat degradation. Chinking adhesion and sealant flexibility tested at every joint, corner, and opening. Endoscope inspection of corner notches and cavities where line-of-sight inspection cannot reach.

STEP 05

Structural Evaluation

Settlement measurement, corner drop, and frame compression documented. Sticking doors and bowing walls traced to root cause and measured against normal tolerances. Finding: normal, monitor, or intervene.

STEP 06

Written Report

Moisture readings, rot findings, thermal imagery, chinking results, structural notes: all in one document. Repairs prioritized by urgency with scope and estimate. Yours to keep. No obligation to book treatment.
